Follow the Leader
One participant is nominated as the Leader. They begin moving around with actions that the rest of the participants must mimic. Anything — including wildly flailing hands or furiously scratching their head — what the leader does, the others must follow. Take it in turns with each participant, particularly the children, to give them the opportunity to build confidence leading. If the family is shy, the class leader can commence the game as the first 'leader'.
NB. The class leader can encourage other 'leaders' with ideas for moves if they are struggling. It is a great opportunity to add a variety of locomotor actions.
- Requires at least 4 people to play.
- May require some adjustment to suit Pre-School aged children, the elderly, pregnant women or SEND participants.
